   I have owned The Oud Affair for a while now and my opinion has only gotten stronger. The first minutes are all about Honey with a hint of Ginger — it grabs attention without being pushy. Give it a little time and Tobacco Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Vilhelm Parfumerie knows how to compose, and The Oud Affair (2015) is proof. Give it a little time and Tobacco Leaf comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Agarwood (Oud) and Vanilla — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   A couple of wears in, The Oud Affair has really grown on me. Right away I get mostly Honey alongside Ginger, fresh and very easy to wear. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Tobacco Leaf, which is where the fragrance really shines. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   I keep reaching for The Oud Affair more than I expected to. The first minutes are all about Honey with a hint of Ginger — it grabs attention without being pushy. The opening is built around Honey and Ginger — bright and immediately recognizable. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.
