   I picked up Alaïa (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Mountain Air — bright and immediately recognizable. The base rests on Leather and Violet — warm, grounded and easy to live with. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. Worth sampling before committing to a bottle.

   I picked up Alaïa (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Give it a little time and Peony with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. The very first sniff is crisp Pink Pepper with Mountain Air peeking through, very much my kind of start. It projects politely for a couple of hours, then stays close and cosy. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   My first Alaia Paris experience was this one, Alaïa (2015). Give it a little time and Peony with Freesia comes forward — smooth and well done. That first spray gives a lovely Pink Pepper/Mountain Air impression that dries down smoothly. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

   Picked up a sample of Alaïa after reading the community buzz (2015). The first minutes are all about Pink Pepper with a hint of Mountain Air — it grabs attention without being pushy. The base rests on Leather and Violet — warm, grounded and easy to live with. It wears beautifully in the office; I can still catch it on my scarf at the end of the day. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   Alaia Paris knows how to compose, and Alaïa (2015) is proof. Right away I get mostly Pink Pepper alongside Mountain Air, fresh and very easy to wear. The drydown leans on Leather plus Violet and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The opening is built around Pink Pepper and Mountain Air — bright and immediately recognizable. Performance is consistent: comfortable sillage and several hours of wear on my skin. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.
