   A friend passed me a decant of Figment Man (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Animal notes with Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Earthy notes plus Guaiac Wood and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Three sprays last me most of the day without ever becoming cloying. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Figment Man. As it settles, Earthy notes and Guaiac Wood come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Animal notes with Vetiver, which is where the fragrance really shines. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. This has earned a permanent spot in my rotation.

I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.
