   For a 2020 release, Alien Mirage deserves more attention than it gets. The heart is the best part for me: Lotus and Syringa feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Mineral notes with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. Sadly this one does not work on my skin.

   A couple of wears in, Alien Mirage has really grown on me. The very first sniff is crisp Mineral notes with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. That first spray gives a lovely Mineral notes/Pink Pepper impression that dries down smoothly. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. The composition is well made but not for me.

Give it a little time and Lotus with Syringa comes forward — smooth and well done. In cooler weather it sits closer to the skin, which I actually prefer here. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Alien Mirage. Right away I get mostly Mineral notes alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. As it settles, Hinoki Wood and White Amber come through and give it real depth. The trail is there if someone steps close, not across the room. Full-bottle worthy without a doubt.

   My first Mugler experience was this one, Alien Mirage (2020). Right away I get mostly Mineral notes alongside Pink Pepper, fresh and very easy to wear. The very first sniff is crisp Mineral notes with Pink Pepper peeking through, very much my kind of start. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

The base rests on Hinoki Wood and White Amber — warm, grounded and easy to live with. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see its quality, but it simply is not my style.

   I keep reaching for Alien Mirage more than I expected to. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Lotus with Syringa, which is where the fragrance really shines. The heart is the best part for me: Lotus and Syringa feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
