   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Dear Polly. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Apple peeking through, very much my kind of start. The heart is the best part for me: Black Tea feel carefully balanced. It lasts through a full workday on me, which is exactly what I want. I reach for it often and always enjoy the wear.

   Vilhelm Parfumerie knows how to compose, and Dear Polly (2015) is proof. As it settles, Black Amber and Musk come through and give it real depth. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Black Tea, which is where the fragrance really shines. It performs better in warmer weather — in the heat it opens up nicely. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

   I picked up Dear Polly (2015) mostly on a whim, and it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Apple, fresh and very easy to wear. The base rests on Black Amber and Musk — warm, grounded and easy to live with. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. A solid addition for anyone who enjoys this style.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Black Tea, which is where the fragrance really shines. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I would happily buy a full bottle.
