   A couple of wears in, Between Two Trees has really grown on me. The heart is the best part for me: Mate feel carefully balanced. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Mate, which is where the fragrance really shines. On my skin the performance is reliable, not a beast but far from weak. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Between Two Trees, so I finally gave it a proper test. Give it a little time and Mate comes forward — smooth and well done. The base rests on Vetiver — warm, grounded and easy to live with. After a few hours it becomes a soft skin scent with a lovely trail. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   I needed a full wearing before I made my mind up about Between Two Trees. Give it a little time and Mate comes forward — smooth and well done. The drydown leans on Vetiver and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Pleasant, though I would not call it essential.

   A friend passed me a decant of Between Two Trees (2017) and I wasn’t prepared for it. That first spray gives a lovely Grapefruit impression that dries down smoothly. The first minutes are all about Grapefruit — it grabs attention without being pushy. The drydown lingers pleasantly, and I do not need to reapply at lunch. This one gets my highest praise — beautiful from start to finish.
