   Giorgio Armani knows how to compose, and Armani Code (2004) is proof. The opening is built around Lemon and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. The drydown leans on Leather plus Tonka Bean and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. Projection stays close for the first hour, then becomes a soft, pleasant aura. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Star Anise with Olive Blossom, which is where the fragrance really shines. The opening is built around Lemon and Bergamot — bright and immediately recognizable. It is not the loudest scent I own, but the balance suits it well. I enjoy it when I wear it, yet I rarely think of reaching for it.

I would happily buy a full bottle.
