   My first Hiram Green experience was this one, Hyde (2018). Right away I get mostly Bergamot alongside Lemon, fresh and very easy to wear. That first spray gives a lovely Bergamot/Lemon impression that dries down smoothly. Longevity is moderate and the trail is noticeable without being loud. I can see this getting a lot of wear in my collection.

   I’ve been wearing Hyde on and off for a few weeks now (2018). The heart is the best part for me: Birch tar and Acacia feel carefully balanced. The very first sniff is crisp Bergamot with Lemon peeking through, very much my kind of start. Two sprays are enough — it carries well without shouting. Well done — recommended if the notes appeal to you.

   Everyone keeps talking about Hyde, so I finally gave it a proper test. After about twenty minutes the heart settles into Birch tar with Acacia, which is where the fragrance really shines. The drydown leans on Labdanum plus Malt and that is exactly where it feels most comfortable. I get about four to six hours before it turns into a skin scent. A very likeable composition that is easy to appreciate.
